83 and sunny

The weather in Phoenix has been amazing. Spring Training games have started. Husband is borderline obsessed with the Oakland Athletics.
What to do?
Duh.
We go to a spring training game for the A's!!!!!
Then we come home and watch Moneyball (for those of you that don't know, it is a movie about the GM of the Oakland A's baseball team. It's actually really good.)

The next weekend, my cuter-than-ever Husband starts telling me that he feels guilty.
"Why?" I reply.
"Because last weekend was all about me, and I feel like I'm being too selfish. So why don't we make this weekend all about you so that we can make it fair." (Little does he remember that I actually LOVE baseball games, but I'm not about to pass up this opportunity!)
"I love doing things that you love sweetheart." I tell him, just testing the waters.
"I know. But I think that we should go shopping because I know that you love it." He says apologetically.
"OK! Let's go right now!"  I yell way too quickly and enthusiastically as I'm already running out the door.

Best day EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In all seriousness, I believe that my kind Husband is helping me learn a wonderful lesson. He constantly strives to spend time with me doing things that I love doing.  The above example is silly, but he continually tries to make time for my hobbies simply because I like them.
What a wonderful lesson to be taught.
Gordon B. Hinckley, who was one of the leaders of our church, said:

True love is not so much a matter of romance as it is a matter of anxious concern for the well-being of one's companion.

I love Jimmy for many reasons.  One reason is because of the example he is to me.  Because of him, I am learning to be more aware and more concerned with those around me. I have noticed that as he and I implement this concept, our marriage is better, and we are happier.
I have learned that love isn't just a feeling; it is an action.
It simply cannot be passive.
